Welcome to our "NO BLINKING" blog! We are not blinking so that we don't miss anything! Thanks for taking time to read about our family. We are using this blog as a replacement to a Christmas newsletter that we have sent out for several years but it started adding stress to our holidays rather than being something we looked forward to. We haven't sent sent one out for the past few years and had so many people tell us how they have missed it so we decided to try blogging to keep you up to date on our family!

Christmas Pictures

First I will start with an almost tragedy in our home!!!!!!!!!!!!! We woke up to a perfect morning with the kids. Our tradition for years has been as we put out the Christmas decorations and put out our nativity scenes without baby Jesus. I hide baby Jesus until Christmas morning and then let one of the kids place him in the manger and we read the Christmas story from the Bible before opening gifts. Well this Christmas morning I got the cutest picture of Si placing baby Jesus in the manger along with several other cute Christmas morning shots!!!!!!!!!!!! Fast forward...New Year's Eve trying to add pictures to my blog and I can't find my Christmas pictures!!!!!!!!!!!! Asking Doug calmly if he could find them, he looks funny, almost pale even!! Turns out he did a little "organizing" on the computer since I got a new camara for Christmas I had two 12-25 albums well he erases one accidently of course!!!!!!!!!!!!! AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG can you imagine????????? Well fast forward to several helpful conversations (except Gary's) we were able to take our camara to Wolfe Camara and $40.00 later they were able to get them from the deleted pictures!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Angie!!! Anyway, I'm posting my picture that I'm so thankful to still have! And oh yeah, after opening gifts, Si says he doesn't feel good, take his temperature....104.5. That is actually the highest fever ever in this house!! Well, the doctor wasn't in so we called the next best thing...Granny and Pap!!

*CHRISTMAS EVE*

We celebrated Christmas with Mom, Dad, Jeff, Teagan & Jett on Christmas Eve!! We had a GREAT time!! It was so fun to watch Jett run around enjoying everything!! He is adorable!! As you can tell Zane is into football, he finally got his Peyton Manning jersey along with several other football related toys!! With him around your really have to watch for some type of ball to come flying through the air at any moment!!!!!!! Natalie is my girlie girl tom boy! That just about sums her up!! She is really into reading and crafts but will head outside with the boys anytime!! Oh my, my Si!! He is FULL of energy which means I am not!! He is the sweetest baby but with a streak of something other than sweetness and we don't have that figured out yet!!

GO TITANS!!!!!!!!!

We had a wonderful weekend with wonderful friends!! The pictures do not do the trip justice!! We had so much fun, the hotel was amazing and the game was terrific (Allison & I know this because we heard about it for hours!). We drove in on Saturday morning and stopped by the stadium and visited the gift shop. We then got checked in to the Gaylord Hotel. Doug and I had never been...it was just amazing! The lights and decorations were gorgeous!! We had dinner that night at the Ristorante Volare which we all highly recommend! We then wandered around and watched a water show and had a snack before turning in. We got up the next morning and had a terrific breakfast at the Cascades Seafood Restaurant. Allison and I then took the guys and dropped them off at the stadium and went back to the hotel and walked to Opry Mills and shopped. The day flew by and we drove back to get the guys...tons of traffic....so our husbands decide to beat the traffic and walk up to the interstate where we picked them up on the side of the road!!!!! Then we heard about football for awhile and heard about how cool the playoffs would be?????

OUT OF SCHOOL & OUT OF WORK!!!

Today the kids had a half day of school and Doug came home a bit early!! We are celebrating no more school till the 6th and no work for Doug till the 5th!!!!!!!!!!!!! We let the kids open up 2 gifts each on the day they get out of school. They were surprised to find their Christmas jammies and a game for each of them. Turns out Zane's HyperDash was the popular one!! It is so hard seeing these smiling faces to go out of town but Doug and I are headed out of town in the morning for the weekend.....hope that Granny and Pap are still standing on Sunday!!

It was crazy but lots of fun & believe it or not Grandpa & Grandma were still smiling when we got home and the house was still standing!!!!!!!!!!
